Paul Harris

I was born and raised in South Africa. The sub tropical environment that I grew up in was a huge inspiration to me. My love of colour, form and pattern stems from this time. I’ve lived in Northland for the last two decades and love it. My work has evolved over the years into the sculpture that I now hand carve. As well as nature my work is also inspired by some of the cultures I’ve visited and lived in. The symmetry and pattern I aim for are about a feeling of beauty and peace .
