Heather Wilson had such a happy carefree kiwi childhood and finds a lot of the inspiration for her work is drawn from those memories. Heather's art also explores aspects of iconic New Zealand scenery and symbolism connected with her beloved geometric patterns from the 1970s. Her work is contemporary. Heather would describe it as an explosion of bold strong colour and texture, which is her distinctive trademark. Heather uses acrylic and mixed media on canvas and board with resin effects.
