Anna Korver

Presented by Art By The River Gallery, Anna Korver is an established New Zealand sculptor with an extensive international reputation. A graduate of the University of Canterbury, she works across stone, wood, bronze and steel, exploring the female form and themes of strength, fragility, balance and identity. Anna has participated in sculpture symposia around the world, winning numerous awards, with many of her works permanently installed as public sculptures. In New Zealand, she has won major sculpture symposium prizes and twice been a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards. Originally from Taranaki, Anna is now based in Benin, Africa, returning regularly to New Zealand to create new work.
