Art By The River

Art by the River is an independent contemporary art gallery in Whanganui, presenting a diverse selection of art by established and emerging New Zealand artists. Opened in December 2024, the gallery has quickly developed a broad national offering, with more than 250 works across three gallery spaces. Alongside its contemporary New Zealand artists, Art by the River presents a growing collection of significant international and New Zealand collectable works, including works by Picasso, Chagall, Miró, Matisse, Damien Hirst, Banksy, and Albrecht.
