JJoe is a self taught sculptor of 25 years mainly working in native nz timbers , his work is influenced from my Maori heritage and caulture with a moden contempory form , over the last 5 years Joe has been teaching his wife Sherie stone sculpting and how to get the best out of the already organic natural form the stone provides , also teaching his son Teimah this form of sculpting , how to get the best out of the medium they work .
