BEMODERN

BEMODERN (aka Paul Darragh) is a Mount Maunganui–based artist whose work explores colour, geometry and spatial perception. Working with bold, graphic compositions, he creates paintings, murals and sculptural works that behave like architectural surfaces interrupted by portals and spatial openings. His recent VOID series investigates how colour relationships can shift the viewer’s sense of depth and space. Alongside his studio practice he works internationally as a motion graphics designer with design studios in New York. His work has been exhibited across Aotearoa, Seoul, Melbourne and New York.
