Nicola Warner is known for her vibrant pastel landscapes full of exuberant marks and joyful, saturated colour. She invites people to share her delight in living near the beach and her love of a good road trip. “Like so many of us, beautiful places thrill me,” she says. “I feel them.” Dramatic light is another feature of Nicola’s work. She enjoys creating the illusion of sunlight and shadow using only “little sticks of colour.” Nicola is an Artist Member of Pastel Artists NZ, a national award winner, and has been recognised by the International Association of Pastel Societies.
