Kate McLeod is a contemporary abstract painter based in Ōtautahi Christchurch whose work explores movement, transformation and the unseen through richly layered abstraction. Guided by intuition and refined through deliberate process, she uses oil, acrylic, resin, pigment and metal leaf to create immersive paintings where gesture, colour and material carry the energy of their making. Her work has been exhibited widely across Aotearoa and is held in public and private collections internationally. This year marks Kate’s Art in the Park debut, where she presents a new body of work inviting viewers to slow down, look closely and discover new connections.
