Roberta Queiroga is a Brazilian-born, New Zealand-based artist whose work bridges cultures, emotions, and movement. With a background in architecture, she embraces a bold, gestural approach, blending acrylics, sumi ink and charcoal into striking and minimalist compositions. Her art is a dialogue between spontaneity and control, influenced by Japanese calligraphy and the raw expressiveness of her multicultural journey. A fearless cretaive, she returned to art after an 18-year hiatus, redefining her path with conviction. Recently, she has been immersed in an artistic residency in Japan, collaborating with a renowned calligrapher to further refine her visual language.
