Teri Parat has been painting for many years prior to making beautiful Waiheke Island her permanent place of residence five years ago. She had a lengthy background working in the fashion industry for many years and her paintings reflect and showcase her love and appreciation of fashion and good design. Teri draws influence from a multitude of inspirations also from classical portraiture , her works echo the past whilst holding a resolutely modern viewpoint. Current works entirely comprise of portraiture often featuring flowers and bird life. Her works are mostly painted on fine Belgian Linen canvases and using a very fine brush technique.
