A Performing Arts programme  will keep you entertained throughout the day on Saturday and up until 2p.m. on Sunday.  The Greymouth Municipal Brass Band will start the performing arts from 9.45a.m.  Once again the ever popular JUST JAZZ will keep your feet tapping, The Silvertones will delight, Planet Paris pleases all ears and Craig Soster on the guitar is a pleasure to listen to.  In addition the exotic and colourful Nkange Kwambile belly dancers will enthral, as will the exciting song writer and singer, Carmen Salvadore, direct from Chile with her 5 piece band.  The talented  Red Dance group will bring the programme to an end.  There is plenty of space in the street to join in the fun and get your feet moving.  On Sunday Kokatahi Band, Carmen Salavadore, Planet Paris,  and I.D. The Solid Energy Art Activity Tent will be in full swing once again, under Susan Smith’s creative eye.  Here all ages can try their hand at different art techniques with experienced artists on site to lend a hand.  The Young People’s Art Exhibition will be in a marquee alongside the SE AAT and young people from the West Coast will be showcasing their talent and maybe even selling.  Take the time to see what amazing talent there is to be found amongst our young people on the West Coast.  Some young buskers will be performing here too.Alongside both of these marquees, International Graffiti Artist, Eric Orr of the USA, will be back to add a different flavour to Art in the Park.  He will be demonstrating his art throughout the day – all ages will be given the opportunity to paint with him.

There will be demonstrations right throughout the Village – be sure to check your programme and see it ALL.  The Forge will be operating and Noel Finnerty will once again awe the crowds as he creates beautiful art objects in the flames.  Alongside him John Worthington will be exhibiting and selling his special handcrafted knives,  Westland Cake Decorators will not only be selling some of their beautiful cakes, but also demonstrating cake icing during the day.  The Grey Valley Quilters will be demonstrating the making of a beautiful quilt and are full of fun while they work. We are pleased to say the Buller Blacksmiths will be back at the 2nd Forge demonstrating a variety of techniques and enjoying the day to the full!

In the Gem & Mineral Hall a variety of beautiful handcrafted jade and bead work will be on display.  A jade carver will be demonstrating his skills on and off during the day.
