A self-taught contemporary artist, Megan has developed a distinctive artistic style featuring vibrant, hyperrealistic drawings on cotton paper. Aiming to challenge the viewer's perception of the humble coloured pencil, she creates powerful and playful visuals that are absurd and thought-provoking. Megan’s new collection of drawings titled Anthology showcases the raw beauty of nature, featuring bold floral compositions, juxtaposed with glistening synthetic paint drips. Anthology was inspired by her dad who is a brilliant horticulturist, and her grandmother who loved to paint. The word Anthology stems from the Greek word anthos, meaning ‘flower’ and logia, meaning ‘collection’. The word originally denoted a collection of poetry.
